Application Consultant
Woodland Hills, CA
DAX Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Application Consultant with strong experience in enterprise data engineering, cloud data platforms, and ERP data migration across BFSI and Supply Chain domains. Ideal candidates bring hands-on expertise in Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric), Snowflake, and Informatica IDMC/IICS, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O as a source/target system in large-scale data migration and modernization initiatives.
The position will primarily be responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency across the data solution lifecycle, including requirements elicitation, data architecture design, ETL/ELT development, and cloud data platform implementation. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts, delivering high-quality data pipelines and reporting solutions, leading validation across testing phases, and supporting activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. You will be part of a learning culture where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

- Participate in and contribute to the requirements of the elicitation process and create supporting documentation.
- Design and maintain enterprise data architecture and data models (Star/Snowflake Schema, Data Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture) in line with business and technical requirements.
- Design, build, and oversee ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from legacy and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL Server) into modern cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Lead data mapping and conversion for master data and historical transactional data, including complex financial, operational, and multicurrency datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Engineering tools (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics), Power BI, and Azure DevOps strongly preferred; familiarity with Dataverse and Power Platform is a plus.
- Ensure accurate integration with upstream and downstream systems, including ERP platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O) and other enterprise systems.
- Execute mock conversions, cutover planning, and final production migrations with a strong focus on accuracy and auditability.
- Own data reconciliation, validation, and issue resolution between source systems and target data platforms.
- Deliver high-quality pipeline and code deliverables, support peers in quality checks, and create user documentation for assigned modules; lead validation activities across Functional, Integration, System, and User Experience testing.
- Support the creation of the “Go Live” plan (change management request) and manage assigned activities within it.
- Perform root-cause analysis of post-implementation issues and drive appropriate solutions; participate in Knowledge Transfer sessions and prepare system appreciation documents to support transition.
- Conduct impact analysis of logged issues, prioritize work, and ensure production support is delivered per committed SLAs.

- 3+ years of multi-cloud experience (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
- Demonstrated leadership/management experience, including leading and mentoring data/software engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience working across senior leadership and cross-functional implementation teams.
Knowledge/Skill Requirement
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data integration, data quality, and data governance principles.
- Experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, and modeling of unstructured data (Star/Snowflake Schema, Medallion Architecture, Data Lakehouse).
- Proven experience supporting ERP-related migration and modernization projects (e.g., Dynamics 365 F&O, SAP S/4HANA, or similar).
- Strong expertise with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud IDMC/IICS, particularly for API-based and cloud (ODBC) data integration.
- Strong SQL/T-SQL programming skills, including writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning on Microsoft SQL Server and/or Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and/or Databricks (Spark, Spark SQL) to build and orchestrate data pipelines and manage data lakes/warehouses.
- Experience with Snowflake and modern data platforms (dbt, Microsoft Fabric/OneLake) is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Power BI or comparable BI visualization tools, including understanding of datasets, dataflows, and report performance tuning; familiarity with SSRS/SSIS/SSAS as a plus.
- Experience with big data and streaming technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Delta Lake) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, master data management, and data cataloging in a unified data environment.
